OUCH !! little tortoise

Ouch little tortoise
What did you do?

I’m sat in the sunshine feeding you.

You have no teeth so you can’t chew,
I’m holding out the food for you.

You don’t want the lettuce
I’m beginning to regret it.
I can see the hunger rising in you.

Then you sniff out a red grape or two.
So I sit and hold them out for you.

You stretch you neck
And tilt your head.
Beak out stretched.

Open and chomp
Open and chomp you pull it down
And come back twice.

And bite, bite, bite.

You get a finger, grape, a finger
But that third bites worse.
Your sharp beaks’ a stinger.

Ouch little tortoise what did you do?
Do you have to bite me every time I am feeding you?

A piece of mind

Like a dripping tap
of mind.

It can't close off
or decide.

What words to drop
and let make rhyme.

What words let through
and aren't- unkind.

Twinkle phone

Twinkle, twinkle
mobile phone.

Your flashing, like your far from home.

But don't you understand
nobody will phone.

So sing your rings, your too alone.
